Chipseal

what is

Chipseal

Chipseal is a cost-effective alternative to traditional asphalt, often used for rural roads, driveways, and low-traffic areas. It involves applying liquid asphalt followed by stone chips that are compacted into the surface. Chipseal creates a textured, durable surface that provides excellent traction.

The process

1

Surface Preparation

Clean and repair any damage on the existing surface.

2

Asphalt Application

Apply a hot liquid asphalt layer evenly across the surface.

3

Chip Application

Spread small stone chips over the asphalt while it’s still hot.

4

Compaction

Compact the chips into the asphalt for a durable, skid-resistant surface.
